Bose SoundLink On-Ear Bluetooth Headphones

The Bose SoundLink On-Ear Bluetooth Headphones – Black is a pricey but useful gadget for the discerning user who doesn’t like the hassles of a wired headphone. At first look they do not appear to be anything special but once you put them on, you can notice the difference between their sound quality and comfort and those of the competitors. Read on to get an insight in to one of the best wireless headphones in the market today.
The main order of business, the sound, remains patently Bose and is crystal clear, to say the least. They do not emphasize bass and offer good treble too, sans any hiss. The highlight here, however, is the vocal range- they can well handle just about any genre you may throw at them, whether it be rock or classical or electronic. That said, it must be kept in mind that the SoundLink are a pair of wireless headphones and due to the limitations of the current technology, the data being streamed to them needs to be compressed. This does result in a slight quality loss and as of now, all wireless headphones tend to sound slightly worse than their wired counterparts and this applies here too.

The Bluetooth connectivity is excellent and completely jitter free. It is also quite energy efficient, delivering a robust seven to eight hours of usage on a full charge. One good aspect of design here is that in case you run out of power, you may use them simply as a wired headphone since the wireless connectivity is established not within the headset but on a separate control module outside of it. This also means that while it is plugged in through a wire, the battery may be simultaneously charged too. Also, since the cable is detachable, one need not worry about future repairs. The range is also decent at about 10 meters or 30 feet.
The construction is high on ruggedness but low on weight and even though the look may appear flimsy to some, rest be assured these are going to last a long, long time. The totally black color scheme keeps a professional look while minimizing any scratches. A Bose logo on the ear cups looks premium and this is also where an in built mic is housed that enables one to use it for voice calling purposes. The around the ear fit isolates your ears from ambient noise to a certain degree and it partially makes up for the absence of noise cancellation. The ear pads are adequately cushioned and this coupled with the light weight design means that you may keep these on for hours without feeling nauseous.
All in all, these are a great pair to use with any music player for a no nuisance experience. The highly comfortable form means you will enjoy them for hours at a stretch without swelled ears. Though their design is not completely isolating and causes a little of the audio to slip outside, they still remain a great equipment. Those of us with deep pocket would do well to shell out the $250 for the SoundLink.
